It’s important to note that while just one paper has been attached, there are numerous others confirming the impacts
of waste incineration on the environment and the health of those who live around them. And, as the attached paper shows, the actual quantities of pollutants discharged are not accurately assessed either by selectively sampling only during steady state running or by disabling the samplers at certain times.
NMI trusts this response emphasises the dangers to the community should this proposal be approved, and would also remind residents that Randwick City Council, local Councillors, local State and Federal MPs, Matraville Precinct, the majority of residents in Matraville and neighbouring suburbs, and many others from further afield strongly object to this proposal.
NMI would be more than happy to respond to any questions residents may have via email: nomoreincinerators@gmail.com.
Kind regards
Chris Hanson, No More Incinerators Inc
Matraville Precinct
The No More Incinerators Group now has a Go Fund Me page to help them fund the campaign to stop Suez building a waste incinerator at Opal’s paper mill. The Group needs your help to spread the word!
Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. In addition, sharing the Go Fund Me link with as many family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbours will spread awareness of what might happen if everyone doesn’t speak up. Spread the word via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to get the message out.
The Go Fund Me link is: https://gofund.me/d5a20925 and remember, no donation is too small!
