There has been growing concern over the number of dogs who are not being controlled by their owners when going for a walk. A common claim by dog owners, as their dog runs up to a stranger, adult, child or baby stroller, is; “don’t worry he/she won’t hurt you, he/she is just being friendly” as they hurry to join their dog.
Both Prince Henry Community and Randwick Council have the same rules when it comes to dogs in community spaces. There are by-laws in Prince Henry which advise dog owners of acceptable behaviour and the requirement to keep all dogs on a leash or contained at all times, while walking on common property.
We enjoy a beautiful community and environment here in Prince Henry, let’s all consider others and keep everyone safe.
