This section has been created to address important local issues requiring action from ordinary people. Each of the pages contains impassioned pleas from your neighbours to prevent this wonderful part of Sydney from being permanently spoiled.
A group comprising local residents, established in September 2019 to ensure Meriton’s proposal for rezoning and overdevelopment of Little Bay Cove is not permitted. This is an ongoing challenge for residents of LIttle Bay Cove, neighbouring residents, and Randwick City and Bayside Councils.
Concerned Little Bay resident, Allen Morris, is liaised with The Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW, Randwick City Council and the DPI on this important public safety issue. A compromise was reached but the problem is likely to persist. Little Bay beach users are requested to remain vigilant.
Several local groups have voiced their concern at such a proposal and are encouraging locals to have their say. Concerned Little Bay resident, Chris Hanson, has been liaising with Randwick City and Bayside Councils as well as the NSW State Government to prevent this proposal from being approved.
